Investing in your career 2
In my last post, I asked a question about your level of investment in your career. In this post, I will continue the question by requesting you to compare your investment in your career with investment in other areas. In order to turn the question concrete, let me mention the areas in which we generally invest most of our time and money. The most common ones are:
- changing cars;
- furnishing cars;
- going out with friends;
- buying branded apparels;
- constantly upgrading our gadgets;
- watching a lot of television;
- decorating and furnishing our homes;
- staying online for a long time; and,
- playing video games all day.
How much and how long do you spend on each listed item above in comparison to your career or even to your studies? What is the most important to you? All the listed items above are made possible by the income we derive from our career. Wouldn't it be wise then to invest more in our career so we can have a bigger income which in turn, will allow us have everything we want? Remember that your result should come from where you spend most of your resources and time and not the other way around. Think about this!

How much are you investing in your career? Do you consider investment in your career a wasted money or a real investment? We must invest in whatever we do so we can reap the fruit with time. For a working person, your most important asset is your career. If this is true, how much are you investing in your career?
I will like to know the amount of money and time you are investing in your career.
